\nSTUART\, Fla. – Habitat for Humanity of Martin County’s most entertaining event of the year is right around the corner and it stars the philanthropic “studs†of the Treasure Coast.

\nPrestigious businessmen and esteemed professionals will donate their time and talent at the Mr. StudFinder Charity Auction to benefit Habitat's 2017 Women Build program. The event is Thursday\, Mar. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Frances Langford Dockside Pavilion\, 1707 NE Indian River Drive in Jensen Beach. Guests will enjoy cocktails\, heavy hors d’oeuvres\, and the main event: A live auction at 7 p.m. Proceeds will help build a home for the McKnight Family in the Carter Park community of Indiantown.

\n“The Women Build committee has orchestrated this one-of-a-kind auction featuring unique items donated by some of the Treasure Coast’s finest and most charitable gentlemen\,†said Margot Graff\, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Martin County. “I’m always touched to see so many of our community business members participating in this auction\, and to welcome a few new faces to the lineup. We’re also happy to be able to host our largest event of the year on the Indian River at the Frances Langford Pavilion.â€

\nOne of the best things about the event is everyone can participate and bid. The Mr. StudFinder Charity Auction features a lively group of gentlemen\, nominated by their peers and selected to present a valuable item or package for bid. Each auction package is valued between $500 and $5\,000. Items include firefighter or sheriff for a day packages\, salsa dancing lessons\, a charter fishing trip with hotel stay and a lunch with PGA Tour legend Chi Chi Rodriguez at a private local club\, followed by a round of golf for you and three of your friends.

\nAuctioneer Elliott Paul will serve as master of ceremonies\, introducing Habitat’s illustrious list of “Stud Finders.†The 2017 lineup includes photographer Mitch Kloorfain\, Chef’s Table owner and renowned chef Adam Fatigate\, Dr. Brian Moriarty\, Capt. Michael Murray from Mattanza Charters\, Realtor and dance instructor Eddie Arguelles\, Treasured Lands Foundation Director Chuck Barrowclough\, Harvest Table owner and well-respected local chef Jimmy Cunningham\, Chi Chi Rodriguez\, Martin County Commissioner Harold Jenkins\, Stephen Leighton from the Martin County Sheriff’s Department and Conner Pecci from the Martin County Fire Department.

\nThere will also be a silent auction featuring a package which includes rounds of golf on five British Open courses (Royal Troon\, Turnberry Resort\, Kingsbarn Golf Links\, Prestwick and Carnoustie)\, rental car for six days\, three-nights each at Turnberry and St. Andrews and a dedicated travel agent to book all reservations and assist with airfare upgrades and other details. Another silent auction item sure to draw some attention is a private airplane ride\, touring around Martin County.

\nAbout Women Build
\nThe 2017 Habitat for Humanity of Martin County Women Build home will be built for the McKnight Family in the community of Carter Park in Indiantown. The family is already contributing to Habitat’s sweat equity requirement of 300 volunteer hours. They will purchase the home with a no-interest loan from Habitat for Humanity and their monthly mortgage payments will be used to build more Habitat homes.

\nWomen Build is a Habitat for Humanity program that encourages women and girls to have fun and make a difference by building homes and communities. Women crews around the world have built thousands of homes since Women Build’s official creation in 1998. Each year\, more homes are added as affiliates\, donors and sponsors discover the impact of women volunteers and their resources.
